AOHS is proud to announce our Daughters of the American Revolution & Sons of the American Revolution Citizenship Award recipients from the Class of 2023, Mackenzie A. and Caleb B. These students were selected by both their teachers and classmates based on the criteria of dependability, service, leadership patriotism, and a spirit of cooperation, as designated by the DAR & SAR organizations. Students can sign up with Mrs. Mendez if they'd like to meet with the USMC recruiter, or if they'd like to listen to the presentation by the apprenticeship coordinator of our local Operating Engineers.

Mrs. Mendez had the opportunity to tour Heartland Technical Academy last week and see some of our students in action! Here are our Engineering Technology students, hard at work.



If a sophomore or junior student is interested in taking dual credit classes next year, including being a part of Transfer Academy, it is recommended that you attend this information session at RCC in the evening of Tuesday, 11/15.


Each year, we have students participate in the Sangamon Valley CEO program, a business-focused program seniors. Our juniors have the opportunity to attend a visit day to see if it's something they'd like to do next year. More information was sent in an email to the junior class. Students should come see Mrs. Mendez if they're interested in attending this day with the CEO class!
